Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all purchases of TeaNest Tables products (solid wood tea tables, marble-top tea tables, space-saving foldable tea tables, custom-made tea tables) and related services (white-glove delivery, assembly support, custom engraving) (collectively “Products/Services”) from TeaNest Home Goods LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us”). By placing an order via our website, authorized retailers, or customer service channels, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all product-specific guidelines (e.g., wood care manuals, marble maintenance guides) provided at the time of purchase.
1. Order Acceptance & Modifications
Your order constitutes a request to purchase Products/Services, not a binding contract. We reserve the right to accept, reject, or adjust orders if: (a) Standard Products are out of stock (e.g., acacia wood tables during peak seasonal demand, marble-top designs with limited slab availability); (b) Custom order specifications are unfeasible (e.g., wood table dimensions exceeding material stability limits, marble cuts that risk structural weakness); or (c) Payment verification fails (e.g., fraudulent credit card activity, incomplete bank transfer for high-value custom orders). A binding contract is formed only when we issue a written order confirmation (email or physical document) including product details (material type, dimensions, finish), total cost (taxes, shipping, service fees), production timelines (2–3 weeks for standard tables, 4–6 weeks for custom designs), and any required deposits.
Post-confirmation modifications (e.g., changing wood finish from “natural oak” to “walnut stain,” adding a built-in tea tray to a standard table) must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of confirmation. We will confirm feasibility and cost/timeline adjustments (e.g.,
150 for finish changes, 1–2 extra weeks for custom add-ons). For custom-made or personalized tables (e.g., engraved family crests, non-standard dimensions), modifications are prohibited once production begins (typically 3 business days post-confirmation); cancellations result in forfeiture of the 30% non-refundable deposit (to cover material sourcing and initial craftsmanship costs).
2. Product Specifications & Material Disclosures
All TeaNest Tables adhere to quality standards for furniture safety and durability (ASTM F2613 for wood furniture, ANSI A137.1 for marble surfaces). Product pages and manuals clearly list key specs: wood type (solid acacia, walnut, oak), marble origin (Italian, Turkish), dimensions (width, depth, height), weight (25–120 lbs), and care requirements (e.g., “avoid direct sunlight for oak tables,” “use coasters for marble tops”).
Critical material disclosures:
- Solid Wood: Natural wood grain, color variations, and minor knots are inherent characteristics—no two tables are identical. These variations (e.g., lighter/darker streaks in acacia, small knots in oak) do not qualify as defects and are part of the product’s unique aesthetic.
- Marble: Marble may have subtle veining, fissures, or color spots—these are natural and not flaws. Marble is porous and requires sealing (we include a complimentary sealant kit with all marble-top tables); we are not liable for staining from unsealed use (e.g., spilled tea, coffee).
- Finishes: Wood finishes (stains, lacquers) are applied by hand—minor inconsistencies in sheen (e.g., slightly glossier edges) are normal and do not affect durability.
You are responsible for verifying that Product dimensions fit your intended space (e.g., doorways, stairwells for delivery) and that materials align with your use case (e.g., marble tables are not recommended for outdoor use due to weather sensitivity). We provide a “Space Check Guide” on our website, but we are not liable for returns due to size mismatches or material incompatibility with your space.
3. Payment Terms
- Methods: We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers (for orders over $1,000, including custom tables and bulk commercial purchases). Commercial customers (e.g., cafes, tea houses ordering 5+ tables) may qualify for net-45 payment terms (subject to credit approval via business license and financial references).
- Deposits: A 30% non-refundable deposit is required for custom-made tables, personalized engravings, and bulk commercial orders. Standard in-stock tables require full payment at checkout (no deposit).
- Pricing: Prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) for U.S. orders; international orders use local currency (EUR, GBP, CAD) with real-time exchange rates. Prices include applicable sales tax and compliance fees (excluding international orders—customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees are your responsibility). Quotes for custom tables are valid for 7 days; prices may adjust due to material cost increases (e.g., solid walnut, premium marble slabs) or labor shortages for handcrafted details.
- Late Payments: For commercial installment plans, unpaid balances incur a 2.5% monthly late fee. We may delay production/delivery of custom tables or charge a restocking fee (20% of total order value) if payment is 14+ days overdue.

- Inspection: Inspect Products immediately upon delivery. Note damage (e.g., chipped marble edges, scratched wood surfaces, broken table legs) on the courier’s receipt, take photos of packaging and the product, and notify us within 72 hours. We will arrange a free replacement or full refund; failure to report damage within 72 hours voids coverage. For marble tables, we recommend hiring a professional to inspect for hidden cracks (we cover inspection costs up to $100 if damage is confirmed).
5. Warranties & Returns
- Warranties: All TeaNest Tables include a limited warranty: 5 years for solid wood tables (covers structural defects like cracked frames, loose joints under normal use), 3 years for marble-top tables (covers manufacturer defects like premature cracking, delamination from the base), 2 years for foldable/space-saving tables (covers hinge mechanisms), and 1 year for custom engravings (covers fading or peeling). The warranty excludes: (a) Normal wear (e.g., minor scratches on wood, surface etching on marble from improper care); (b) Damage from misuse (e.g., placing heavy objects on foldable table hinges, using abrasive cleaners on wood); (c) Repairs by non-TeaNest authorized technicians. Extended warranties (up to 7 years for wood tables, 5 years for marble tables) are available for purchase at checkout.
- Returns: Standard in-stock Products (unused, in original packaging, with all parts/manuals) may be returned within 30 days for a full refund (minus shipping fees). Custom-made tables, personalized engravings, and bulk commercial orders are non-returnable unless defective (verified by our quality team), in which case we provide a replacement or pro-rated refund. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility (except for defective items, where we provide a prepaid shipping label and cover return insurance—critical for marble tables). Used tables or those damaged by improper care (e.g., stained marble, warped wood from moisture) are non-returnable.
